GROWING YOUR GENERAL INSURANCE BUSINESS

Recurring income from general insurance can be increased dramatically by a mix of good day-to-day business habits and occasional marketing campaigns. Here are some ideas and documents which will help :

Day-to-Day

  • When conducting initial interviews or customer reviews, always ask clients if they are happy for you to quote for their personal and/or business insurance
  • Add additional questions to your fact-find documents if required
  • Collect policy renewal dates and current premiums, and enter in a diary system or on a spreadsheet
  • Diary to contact the client 1 month before their renewal date
  • Obtain quotes at www.baonline.co.uk or introduce the client to Berkeley Alexander
  • Provide quotes to customer and follow-up

Campaigns

  • Use Flyers (see right hand menu) to
    • Hand to customers at your office counter/reception
    • Hand to clients at interviews
    • Insert flyers into all correspondence envelopes
  • Collect policy renewal dates and current premiums
  • Diary to contact the client 1 month before their renewal date
